"I will be an assistant of sorts. I have no interest in the politics of the world. I just want the freedom to do as I choose. Of course, there will be favors that I ask of you occaisonily, but I expect nothing else in return for my services besides that."

Orodreth stared hard at Rasir. Was he just humoring Orodreth to learn as much as he could, or was this airbender really interested? He wished that he would have been sent to find the earth or fire avatar at this point. The benders of those two elements would have been easier to read at this point. Orodreth's only true experience with any airbender came exlusively from Sa Ra, and with her he never had to worry about deceit. I must be careful with what I reveal. Orodreth told himself before he spoke again.
"I have done some study on the avatars of the past and the powers that they possessed. I have met people that could help you to learn these things. All I want to see is a union of the world in which a powerful and wise leader brings a new age forth. I believe you could be this leader. You are suspicous and cunning, I have known this upon first meeting you. The fire and earth nations are weak from their war and the water nation will crumble if the right pressure is placed on it. And from the ashes you will rise up to restore peace. You will be the leader that legends will speak of in the future. The avatar is to maintain order, and how better to maintain order than by seizing power for yourself? Tell me, what do you think of this?"

Sa Ra sat up, and wrapped her arms around her knees. It was taking them too long. Looking up at the sky, she saw it was sunset. Pink clouds drifted by, illuminated by the dying sunlight. She pulled up a handful of the soft grass she was sitting on, then watched it blow away in the slight breeze. She used her airbending to push them towards her again, then pushed them up and watched them float back to earth. Mako was no where to be seen, and he had probably fallen asleep in a pile of food. She layed back down again, watching the long grass blow above her. She closed her eyes. Breathing deep, Sa Ra opened them again and sat up fast. An image had appeared in front of her closed eyes, and she didnt like it. She blinked then rubbed her eyes, tired of trying to see through the gloom coming in. She decided the go find Mako, or at least Orodreth and ask what was taking so long.
Mako snorted. He was currently stuck. He thrashed around again, but just succeeded in bringing up dust. He sneezed, then tried to back out from the rocks he was stuck in. He just bumped into another one. This wasnt like him, but he started to whimper. Help! I am stuck! He tried to call, but he sneezed again. He swished his thick tail back and forth, then tried to pull himself forward. This time, he succeeded. He licked his paw and cleaned his ear before looking around. There was the food man! Mako started to creep towards him when he smelled something like Sa Ra. Looking, it wasnt. It was someone tied to a chair. Mako jumped onto the things lap, then jumped onto the head and jumped up and down. It moved. It was alive and not edible. From there, he did an amazing leap and landed in the Food Mans arms, with enough force to knock him over. Then Mako started to sniff for food.

Orodreth hit the ground hard and the cave began to spin as his head met rock. He reached out to grab whatever it was that knocked him over, but just before he grabbed it, he saw that it was Mako. Shock gave way to the single thought, Does this mean that Sa Ra is near?

'Mako?' he thought to himself. 'Where did he come from?'
"Orodreth, let me out of here.Now." he wanted out from this cave, he never did like it underground.

"Don't you see Rasir? You can't leave this place until you agree with me or by stepping over my dead body."
Orodreth absentmindedly rubbed the odd device on his upper arm given to him when he joined the Dai Lang. His sleeves covered the device, but the outline could be seen when his hands rubbed over the odd metallic band.
"If you live or get away, I die. If you join me, I will be hunted down. If I kill you, I will be praised. Do you realize what I'm doing. I should have killed you the moment I had you captured. I shouldn't have revealed who you are. I don't even know what I'm doing anymore, but the one thing that I do know is that you make your choice now. You can live and fulfill the destiny that I have described to you, or you can lie in this cave forever. Just another forgotten person of the world. You can't get out without me, and I won't let you out anyway."
Orodreth looked down at Mako. Seeing the creature sent Orodreth's mind back to Sa Ra and the guilt that he felt for doing this. He wished that he could communicate with Mako and tell him to just go back to Sa Ra. Orodreth took a few steps away from Rasir and moved slowly around the cave. He kept his mind aware of any changes with Rasir, but tried to keep everything else out. What was Rasir doing? He avoided answering or even reacting to anything Orodreth told him. Did he not believe what Orodreth was telling him, or was this just an effort to stall. Eventually Sa Ra would come looking for Mako. And being able to communicate with the creature, she would know what was going on. This could not happen. Rasir would answer now, or Orodreth would end this.

"Why should I agree with you if you won't let me out or untie me! Use your head Orodreth! Dou you even have a concrete plan about what we are going to do!"

(Azrael, I'm pretty sure I let you loose of your bonds a while back. Maybe i'm wrong)
"I will not tell you my plans or lack there of until I know which side you are on. I've told you before Rasir, you act as if you have this third choice that you will be able to go free. That is not an option. It's die or follow through with my plan. The interesting thing is that I too am left with those choices. I can either kill you, or betray my master and attempt to avoid his pursuit. So you see we both are facing choices here." Orodreth loosened the rest of the bonds on Rasir allowing him to freely move. "I wish to be a friend to you, but to do so you must listen to me and help me."

(oh, maybe i missed that...)
Rasir thought about it. He thought about the monks at the temple. The people who are suffering day after day for this war. And the people that have wronged him. The power he could have...
"Are you sure that there are people who can teach me?" he asked, he wanted to make sure he wouldn't have to teach himself everything.

When Orodreth started to circle the room, Mako followed, pouncing at the heels of him and the dust that rose when he lifted his foot. He started to make playful growling noises, then all of a sudden attacked the bonds holding Rasir. By then Orodreth had untied him, so Mako grabbed a lose end and flipped onto his back, clawing at it with his back feet and biting it. He let go of that like it had bit him, and ran towards Orodreth. He climbed up his clothing quickly, and perched on his head. Mako started to go through the mans hair, looking for any foriegn matter and anything to eat. Hopefully Orodreth would be proud of him, and give him food for cleaning his hair. He sneezed at the dirt coming up. Earthbenders. He left to Rasir, and proceeded to do the same thing. What was going on didnt impact him, so it didnt matter. He knew he could get out, difficult as it was, and that this was fun to play.
Sa Ra sighed, her throat sore from calling for Mako. 'Where did he go now?' She thought. She walked a bit more, then one last time she called for him. She waited for a reply, but not getting one headed back to the ship. If he was in trouble, it was too late now. She wiped away a tear. 'Why do I care for him so much? I mean, I always complain when he stows away. But that is probably it. He is always there, and him not being is hard to believe.' She thought. "Where is Rasir and Orodreth?" She wondered out loud.
Makos ears perked up, stopping him. He had heard Sa Ra. She sounded worried. Oh well. He was having fun, and she knew these two people. He headed over to Orodreth again, just as a bit of reassurence. Not wanting to be seen sad, Mako started to chew on Orodreths pant leg. 'They have such funny fur.' He thought.

Azazel looked up to the sky and saw the sun dissapearing at the horizon, he bended his boat to the closest island to set up camp for the night. When he arrived on the island he started to search for wood to make a campfire. After some failed attempts the wood finally started to burn. When he felt the heath of the fire on his face, he heard his stomach growl and he realized that it was a day since he had a meal. So he went into the forest to search for some fruit. When he found enough fruit, he started to turn back to the camp. Suddenly, he tripped over a rock and his fruit dropped on the ground rolling down the hill towards a rock formation. "Oh, great" he said. He started running after his fruit and he found it near the rocks. When he was picking up his fruit, he found a strange stone. All the other rocks had plants on them, but this one doesn't, like it was just recently made. And when he listend closely, he would swear he could hear voices from behind it to. "Hé, Is somebody inside?" he yelled. Azazel started to push against the rock. " There is no way, i can push this aside by myself." He tought. "Wait a minute, maybe i can use my waterbending to move it aside" He opend his waterbending bottle, and bending some water out of it. He made a giant spear of ice and he drove it right trough the rock shattering the top half of it. Altough the rock wasnt complelty removed he could see there was a cave behind it. He started to climb on the rock and he glared into the dark cave. "Hello! Is somebody inside?" he yelled

Orodreth looked at Rasir. It didn't matter anyway. He knew that he could not kill the airbender. "We can find someone to train you. I have traveled around the lands on the orders of my master. I'm assuming water would be the first element that you'll be needing to learn. I know of a few masters that I may be able to convince. Rasir, I need you to trust me though. I'm telling you now that it's only going to get worse. When my master finds out that your not dead he'll send others after me and you both."
Orodreth handed Rasir's swords back to him. "I guess our first destination will still be to the air temple, or have you changed your mind?"
Mako ran around the cave and on top of Orodreth several times while he talked, but Orodreth did not acknowledge the presence. When Mako bit at his pants, Orodreth pulled out a bit of the apple that he had saved from the breakfast on board the ship and tossed it down to the energetic creature.
When the rock enclosing the cave burst open, Orodreth turned and sent several rocks up through the hole. "Stay away, none of this concerns you!" In a softer voice. "We'll go back to the ship now Rasir, but I ask that you reveal none of what I told you yet. Tell them that you met an elderly man who saw you perform and wanted to learn your skills. Just say that you spent most of the day showing him the basics. I don't want them to know who you are. The less that know at this moment the better for us." He looked to the opening in an attempt to see whether the intruder had been scared off or not.

Azazel waited for an answer. He heard someone yelling at him but he coudnt understand what the person was saying. Suddenly he saw three rocks flying towards him. He quickly drew his sword and shattered the first rock, then he parried the other rocks with a water whip. "That wasn't really friendly, you know. Normally people introduce themselfs. i'm Azazel from the Northpole and who are you?" While he was waiting for an anwser, Azazel drew his second sword. "Best prepare for a second attack, i dont know with who or what im dealing with."He said to himself

Rasir took his swords.
"I want to learn Firebending, i always loved watching the firebenders at the circus. I don't care about tradition, or the order of things." he slid the twin blades back into place at his waist and waited for Orodreth to open the cave.
