Rasir grabbed his broadswords and hurtled off of the ship's deck.
"I'll be back soon..."
He followed Orodreth, on the lookout for anything out of the ordinary.
"So..." he started, "Who exactly are we meeting?"

"I don't know his name. He's an airbender that used to live in Omashu. He ended up finding me and asked that I bring you to him. He said that it would be beneficial to your future. I never really thought to ask anything else of him." Orodreth continued walking confidently forward. "So where do you come from that you use both airbending and weapons? I thought that that would be a contradiction in their practices."

Sa Ra heard the order to stay on the ship, but she didnt want to. She could see several fruit trees nearby, and Mako had already jumped onto the ground and was running towards them. She didnt want him to get hurt, but he might since he was alone and had never been here before. She glanced at the retreating backs of Orodreth and Rasir, then she jumped out of the ship and sped after Mako. She grabbed him, then tumbled onto the ground. She layed on her back, raising him above her with her arms, and told him, 'Why did you run off by yourself? You should stay with me.' He struggled and she eventually let go, rolling onto her stomach. Voices drifted towards her in the slight breeze, and she watched the clouds go by. She was relaxed, but could still feel something was wrong.

Rasir sighed outwardly.
"It is," he replied. "Which is why they cast me out...I originally learned how to use them in the circus as part of my act, but apparently They had other...applications. Even though I had never hurt anything using them, some of the elder monks decided that I had thrown their teachings in their faces." He continued walking, not looking side to side.

Orodreth kept his face blank as he moved forward. It wasn't much further, he knew that much. He listened more to the sounds of the thickening forest rather than looking for anything. The earth could tell you things if you knew how to listen. "If you were kicked out of the temple, why go back? I mean not to sound negative, but will they still even allow you near it again?" He stopped talking for a second and after a thought said, "I guess it isn't really my concern either way though forget i said anything."
Finally a small indent came into view. The trees thinned out in this area and Orodreth slowly began walking down the hill. "Careful there are few loose areas. Last thing anyone wants to do is fall. Although it might be easier for you to just airbend yourself down. It's your choice really." Orodreth got down the hill and knelt near an opening in a rock formation. "He said this was the place. Just inside there should be two chairs. One for myself and the other for you. We're supposed to sit and wait until a gong sounds three times. Once it does he'll come out of a side chamber and talk to you." Orodreth ducked into the cave and lit a lantern to supply plenty of light.
The chamber was decently sized. about thirty feet around with several passages splitting off. In the center two chairs sat facing the entrance. "It shouldn't be long of a wait. He expected us a day ago and should be most anticapating our arrival."

rasir sat down, and started meditating. He was ready for anything if it should happen.

Orodreth took a breath. This was the moment that he had been fearing since meeting Rasir. He appeared relaxed and indifferent as he waited in silence for the first twenty minutes. "I thought it'd be quicker than this. He should have been waiting I believe." He pushed himself slowly up off his chair. "Maybe he isn't awake. Who knows with this guy?" Even before he finished his setence his foot stamped into the ground. A slight rumble sounded but in a split second rock pinned Rasir's feet to the floor, Another movement of Orodreth's arms sent stone into his stomach and wrapped his body in the chair. The entire action took less than two seconds to complete.
Orodreth stared hard at Rasir. "It is time we talk airbender. I do not wish to harm you, yet. First we must talk then you can make your decision." He turned his attention away from the air avatar and sent a wall of stone covering the cave enterance. The chamber was now lit only with the light of the lantern sitting near Orodreth's unoccupied chair. "As you may have guessed by now, I wasn't sent to bring you to anyone. My master wants you dead, but I feel I have something to gain by keeping you alive. That sealed door is the only way out of this cave. Those passages wind on for miles underground and in an underwater cave. There is no other way out of here without me, airbender, so you best not try anything too stupid.
Orodreth knelt in front of the avatar and looked at him. He kept his eyes glaring but he could barely stand to think about what he was doing. He knew this would come, but it was harder than he could have imagined. It didn't matter though. The game had started and now it was time for Rasir to make his decision.

Rasir reacted, too late. He was already pinned to the chair and the entrence was sealed.
"What?" he asked bitterly. 'I should have never trusted him' he mentally scolded himself.

"Don't sound so upset. You couldn't have done anything to prevent this." Orodreth walked behind Rasir and pulled free his two broadswords. "It's funny. I always found learning combat with a weapon more interesting than any bending practices. Bending is for the mind and spirit, but swords, those are for the body. That has always been my logic at least. I've never become the prodigy that I had once hoped for in earth bending, but with a blade I have met few that are a match for me. Rasir the deception was a necessity. By keeping you alive even this long, I am disobeying orders. Capture was ok but I was never to reveal anything that I knew about you to you. I'm going against orders in hopes that you can do me a favor. I need to know that I can trust you though, and you need to know that you can trust me."
Orodreth sealed the rest of the tunnels of the cave then put an extra layer of earth over the entranceway. No amount of airbending would move that stone Orodreth made sure of that. He then pushed his feet against the ground and the restraints on his feet were removed. He made the same motion a second time and the rock keeping him in the chair dissolved. "What I have to tell you is important for you to both hear and understand. Now are you ready to listen?"

He just stood there, thinking of how to escape, but he would hear him out. For now at least.
"Well, hurry up.."

"Why so impatient? Do they not teach you airbenders that anymore?" He came only a few feet from Rasir and stopped once again. "I wonder, how much do you know of the avatar and its legends?"

"I'm a monk, not a saint!" he yelled in response to Orodreth's impatient taunt. "And I know all about the Avatar."

"Your impatience is hardly what I expected of one with your abilities. Calm yourself first. Believe me, I have as much time in the world to keep you down here. So calm down." He was getting angry as well. His hands clenched and it took everything it had to keep his voice calm. "You've heard of the last Avatar's death while in the Avatar state then? The fact that another one followed does not seem odd? The legend was that if the avatar died in the avatar state he would cease to exist was it not? Do you not question this?"

Orodreth realized that his questions were getting him nowhere. "Rasir, when the avatar was killed in the avatar state his essence split apart and was reincarnated in four members, one from each of the four nations. The announced avatar is from the water nation, but what about the other three? I am unsure of who the fire and earth avatars are but I know the air avatar."
Orodreth paused to see if Rasir had made the connection yet.
"You, Rasir, are the avatar of the air nation. We do not know what will happen if you or any of the other avatars are killed, but my master intends to find out. I, on the other hand, see another opportunity for you. With your power and my knowledge of the four nations we can do anything. We can find the proper masters to teach you the bending styles, we can finish the war between the fire nation and the earth nation, we could find the other three avatars and create a supreme nation where you rule over the rest of the world. Think of the order that we could bring to the world. Think of the lives that we could save. All that it requires is for us to join forces and make it happen. The choice is yours. You can take my generous offer or you can embrace your death."
Orodreth waited as Rasir digested the information that he had put out for the airbender. Orodreth couldn't tell which way Rasir would choose, but he searched for any sign on the avatar's face to his choice. He kept his face blank of expression, but made sure to have a solid footing. What will it be airbender? Orodreth thought to himself.

Through Orodreths speech one thing rang out to him.
"So I will be the ruler? What about you, who so casually holds my life in the palm of his earth covered hands? Where would you be in this great scheme?"
