Blinking, Malu raised her head up to look at the air bender. "Huh?" she mumbled as she looked up. "Oh." Sighed lightly and closed her eyes and leaned back against a nearby tree. "I was born in the Fire Nation, though something happened to force me to leave. Now, I just travel around, to be honest." She gave a small shrug of her shoulders before sitting up straight again while opening her eyes. "What about you?"

Rasir had not expected the question to be turned on him for some odd reason. He stared into the fire as though straining to remember.
"I was born and raised in the Southern Air Temple. I was taught by the greatest airbender alive, Monk Lotsu. I easily excelled to the rank of master before anyone even near my age. Then I started to travel, to slack my wanderlust if you will. That was when I was fourteen. I joined up with a circus from the Fire Nation, near someplace called Elephant Island. I joined them as an acrobat naturally, but they taught me to use other things in my act, such as broadswords, as you no doubt noticed." he tapped the swords laying next to him. "But when some of the Monks saw me, they said I had disgraced their teachings by learning how to use weapons that could kill and destroy. And...then they banished me...And I've never seen Lotsu since then..." he picked up a stick and started to stock the fir because it was dying.

Orodreth saw the fire long before he could make out the faint images of the people around it. The sight of the fire gave him hope. Perhaps the people at this camp would have some food, or maybe they had seen the ones that he searched for. A cloak rested over his body keeping the wind from reaching him, and helping to make him seem a part of the shadows.
When he finally reached the fire he saw two others sitting around it. They seemed to have been talking, but they fell silent as he stepped from the shadows. "Hello, my name is Orodreth," he said as softly as he could. He didn't want these two to mistake him as an enemy. "I don't mean to bother you, but I've been traveling these lands for a few days in search of a man that goes by the name of Rasir. I wonder if either of you has heard of him? If not, then may I at least but a bit of bread from you?"

Rasir's heart was thumping.
'Why is this shadowy guy looking for me?' he thought, then he came up with a plan.
"Well, stranger, sit down and have a bite to eat." he handed Oredreth a loaf of bread from his pack. "You know I think I've heard of this Rasir fellow....Why are you looking for him?" he asked, hoping that Malu would catch on.

Orodreth sat down thankful for the food. He accepted whatever the stranger gave to him and slowly took a few bites before talking. "I have a message for him. I don't really understand everything about it just that I'm to give him the message and then tell him where it is he is desired to go."
He didn't feel like giving away to much information, but the truth was that he really didn't know much about this man. "What do you know about this Rasir? Any idea where he might be?"

Sa Ra heard the new voice, and sat up groggily, since whenever she was in the forest if anyone was near it was instinct to find out where they were, if they knew about her. Her hand went up instantly to readjust her braid. She blinked against the fire not sure where she was. It took a minute to realize she wasnt in a tree. The fire was now burning brightly, and it took her a minute to realize the shadow was a person. Mako was woken up by her sitting up, and he scurried towards him, to snatch any crumbs he could. Sa Ra sat up, still not fully awake, and pulled her knees close, then wrapped her arms around them. Her hair had turned a grey, to show that she was still waking up. She didnt know if she was inturrupting their conversation, but she kept quiet. It was hard for her to pronounce words right after she woke up. She did call to Mako when he tried to take the strangers bread, telling him in his own language to come here and leave him alone. He hurried over and perched on her shoulder, his little claws hanging digging into her head.

'That doesn't sound too bad,' He thought, 'But better play it safe' He sat up straighter.
"Well, I saw this Rasir a few days back, at a circus. He was the greatest acrobat you would ever see, and after every show that I saw, women of all ages would flock to him and follow him everywhere...." He smiled now. "Anyways, what's this messege you have for me, erm..him?"

Orodreth jumped back a little as the creature came towards him, but it's master called it back before it got to close "There's something familiar about that creature," Orodreth thought to himself. Before he could dwell on it for long the man had spoken.
He smiled to himself. This Rasir was smart. "I'd assumed he'd be a great acrobatic being that he is an airbender." Deciding to keep up the illusion that Orodreth did not know the identity of the man in front of him he continued. "Which city was the circus performing in and would you have no idea where they were going to next? I think it would be interesting to see a performance that receives such reviews."
It was then that he remembered the fury creature. "Mako? he said with a questioning look towards the sitting shadow that had only appeared seconds ago. He looked harder trying to make out the outline of the shadow's face.

(I dont know, I would say we would still know them, because we never really went along with the plot anyway, and we can say that it happened a while ago, but they would still remember each other.)
Sa Ra paused a minute from detangling Mako from her hair to look at the shadow. "Yes." She managed to say. She turned to Mako and asked him in his own language, "Do you know this person?" Mako, taking the stranger saying his name, jumped down from her shoulder and went across the campsite to jump onto the man's shoulder. He started to snatch at any crumbs that might be on his face or on his clothing. Sa Ra called to him again, but it didnt work. She cleared her throat before saying anything. "He seems to know you." She said carefully, standing up. She was still just waking up, and standing up made her dizzy. She walked around the fire and grabbed Mako, pulling him away. She cradled him in her arms, blinking still against the fire. "Ho-how do you know him?" She asked.

Orodreth tossed the last of his bread over to Mako and stood up. He forgot about Rasir for a moment and stepped away from him. "Sa Ra, it has been a long time. How are you doing?" It was then that he realized the she didn't recognize him. He pulled down his hood and stepped closer to her so the firelight hit him. "It's me, Orodreth," he said with a smile.

Something rang in Sa Ra's mind. How did he know her? Then he took off the hood. She thought something was familiar. "Orodreth," She said, remembering him. "No wonder Mako was acting so funny." At the mention of his name, he picked up the bread he was chewing on and went farther away, his back facing them. He had leapt after the bread when Orodreth threw it. "I wondered what happened to you. I cant remember all that much." She admitted. She did remember finding Naida and Azalanten, but that was it. "So, messenger now. What else have you been doing since then and now?" She glanced over at Rasir, knowing he would want an explanation, and knowing she didnt have enough words to explain. She was wide awake now, a little suprised it took her so long.

"I've been doing a lot of traveling. No real purpose at the point, just offering services to those that need it. I was actually onboard a pirate ship for a few weeks but I got tired of it and decided to find this Rasir and see what was so special about him. Figured it would be a good chance to see the country as well. I've been on water more than land in the last few years." He reached out and stroaked mako's fur. "What have you been up to? Any other adventures since I saw you last?"
He hated lying especially to those that he thought of as friends, but he had no choice. He couldn't let anyone know the real reason he was here. The mission was hard enough to begin with, he couldn't let Rasir find out what was going on before it was time. He let out a long breath as he kept his eyes on Sa Ra.

Sa Ra nodded, showing she understood. "No big adventures, did get in trouble with some Earth Nation soldiers, I have no idea why though." She watched Mako, who looked like he was in heaven, layin across Orodreths sholder, his belly bulging after eating the bread, purring. "So why do you have to find Rasir? From what I heard all his tricks are just faked, wires. He is a big phony too. I saw him myself, a couple weeks ago." She could tell he was lying. He was doing the thing she did when she was uncomfortable, finding comfort in Mako. "What is the thing that you would like to see again the most?" She asked. Sa Ra wanted to know what really was going on, but only if he was willing to tell. She looked over at the treetops, seeing the sky lightening. Day was coming. Sa Ra wanted to say more, but she could feel her voice faltering. Her hair matched the sky, since she was starting to fully become aware of her surrondings.

The thing that he would like to see again the most. The question traveled through his mind and the first thing to come to it was his father. They had been close but that was a long time ago. Instead he thought of the places that he had seen and remembered the sight of the Southern Air temple.
"I was doing some mercenary work down near the Souther Air Temple. Not really around it, but near enough that the mountains could be seen. Just coming out of a tiny village, I found a forest with a small stream running through it. I followed the stream for a few miles and found a small, meadow surrounded lake. No signs of life could be seen, and the feeling of peace was intoxicating. The sunset that day was amazing, and for some reason the image of that place returns to my memory every so often." His face looked toward the sky almost hoping that, by the memory alone, he could replay that experience for her.
His hand rested on mako's head and he turned to Rasir though he talked to Sa Ra. "How did you end up meeting these other two?" He said gesturing towards the people near the fire.

'Fake?' screamed Rasir in his head. 'I, the Great Rasir, fake? HA!' he thought, but he also was thankful for Sa Ra's attempt to find out why he wanted him.
