Name: Zhouda Bei Tsao
Age: Eighty three.
Nation/bender: Nomad. Fire Bender.
Apperance: A man of majestic appearance despite his old age. A demandingly powerful set of auburn eyes accenting a wrinkled yet proud face. Sporting the old topknot style, he weaves his white hairs into a fashionably contained display.
An elderly man, but with perfect posture keeping him at his six foot height. Always garbed in the ridged old military outfit. Broad shouldered, unspiked. Waist-grapling design wardrobe that now a days looks nothing like the flamboyant garb of the military of the Fire Nation today. However he does not sport the shoes nor the helm.
Hanging from his waist are two thick obsidian bars and he carries on his rhino a bending Ji.
Personality: A man of deep understanding with a love of life and it's splendors, he gives many the benefit of the doubt. Though sorrowed when one betrays this trust, he has a temperous fury that comes down on them trading off the regret to them instead. One who detests unnessisary violence and would rather follow peaceful proverbs but is willing to light the sparks of a battle if it must come.
History: Born on an island between the Cresent Island and the Fire Nation mainland to a poor peasant family he grew up playing on Cresent Island.
During his time there he always felt a deep connection to somethings he could never really determine and sometimes during his childhood spoke with people that were not truly there. At least thats what his parents said. But he felt like they were always wrong.
Eventually he stumbled into a cavern and found a series of vast ruins melted into the interior of the cave but the frothing magma of the volcanoes.
When he came of age at ten his Grandfather began to teach him firebending. His Grandfather had been an officer in the Army in the war against the other nations, and almost made it to generalship on his bending prowess alone. He had his Grandfather train him in the cavern.
Over the next five years his Grandfather would tell him of what the building was. He became fascinated when he learned it was the temple of Avatar Ryokku and immediately began to explore it. He found treasures and items of power and glory that belonged to Ryokku or the keepers of the Temple.
Eventually when he turned sixteen his Grandfather said he could teach him no more. At that time he was going to the Mainland and winning numerous Fire Bending tournaments against benders of greater age. Eventually his Grandfather gave him his old weapon that he called the Maojiga Ji. The Wavering Jiao. A specially crafted pole arm that could bend like a piece of cloth and was weightless as a feather. He treasured it and to this day still owns it.
Eventually he moved up the Mainland to the capital, fighting his way through tournaments, shows and festivals. He brought along with him some of his more prized treasures from the Temple and had left the rest in a secured vault that he found and altered so that only he could open it. The objects inside were too valuable not only to him, but to the late Avatar to be carried about.
Inevitably he ended up preforming for the Fire Lord Iroh and his family. Meaning of course, Iroh and his nephew Zuko and his wife, children, and such. Iroh, a man he grew to admire very quickly played a matchmaker and had him eventually marry Zuko's third daughter Zunni. From that point on he befriended all of them and was adopted into their family easily.
His parents no longer were so poor and lived pleasantly in their latter years. After he had married into the family he found himself sparring with the Dragon Lord of the West. He, for all his talents, had never been against such talent ever before in his life. It was not untill four years later when a man by the name of Jeong returned to the Capital and was greeted like a long-lost brother by Iroh that he found anyone else matching his in-laws talents.
Both of these masters helped him in crafting his fire bending prowess and he eventually became the head Teacher for not only his own children but Zuko's later children and his grandchildren and their children after that. He had four children with Zuunni and had twelve grandchildren all of which he taught. Eventually Iroh and Jeong (Jeong) died and with them he felt as much of a mourning as he did when his parents and Grandfather had.
In his sixties he had made sure all his descendants were proper and honorable (not to mention grand firebenders) when Zunni finally passed on as well. When the Second War began he was furious and did everything in his power to convince the new Fire Lord to not try another invasion but, sadly, the strain of the family he came from had lost contacts with him long ago and things soured and then rotted so he had little sway of voice against the Second War.
So, he packed his things before he could be accused by someone or another of treason and left for many reasons. One because he knew if he died, his grand-kin would fall into line behind the Fire Lord. If he stayed out of the immediate picture and simply aided them with wisdom he could hopefully sway the war to slow considerably.
Another, to go to the Earth Kingdom and aid in the reestablishment of a peaceful order. And thirdly, strive to find the new Avatar and teach him Fire Bending so that once he -- or she -- had mastered all four elements once more and convinced again to stop this War like the last avatar, a boy named Aang -- whom of which Zuko and Iroh talked of. Even Jeong had. -- and convince him to restore balance in the Earth Kingdom and still the Fire Nation's hand once more.
Also, he wanted to go see techniques the other three bending tribes used. He learned that Iroh had mastered some techniques based on Waterbending and even Earth bending that were phenominal. He never copied them, but perhaps he could develope his own.
He is currently traveling to Omashu.
