A deep red flew over the teen's cheeks at the words. Drawing in deep gasps of breath quietly in order to calm her heated face, Leiko shook her head lightly to herself. Instead of pondering on the thought, she turned her back to the rest of the deck, standing close to the front of the ship. Her arms raised slightly from her sides, moving in fluide, eloquent motions. Water rose steadily from the sides of the ship, slowly coming up to gather around Leiko. With her eyes remaining shut, she began moving the water into different forms.

Zhao was a little distracted by the waterbender's practicing that he almost lost a key peice. "Not so fast there, Ju." He said, beating him on the next move. "maybe next tiem you'll beat me." And he took their money, and started counting it while watching the bender practice.

Her arms moved together now, slowly drifting through the air in front of her in a sideways sweep. The water's shape shifted slightly into a slender form, the head of the figure morphing into that of a dragon. The water-based creature floated through the air, twisting around her still form.
It moved into the air as she brought her arms up slightly before moving all along the deck, twisting between the figures residing on the ship's surface. After flying around everyone, it came up to the elder general, slowly sliding through the air around him.

Zhoa stood.
"Impressive." he told her. He moved his hands in a circular motion, building momentum. Now pushing his hands above him, away from his body, a dragon made of flames and golden sparks intertwined with hers, Mimicking a slow dance.

Twisting her body around, Leiko smiled lightly. She continued moving her arms around slowly, allowing her own dragon to move with the newly created fire beast.
"Thank you."

Zhao twisted and turned, making the dragon dance with Leiko's. He raised his hands up high, causing the dragon to saor.

The water dragon followed closely, climbing easily through the air. As it reached a certain height, it twisted around, instead heading for the deck. As it grew dangerously closer to the deck, Leiko made no movements to change its direction. Instead, she let it slam into the ground, sending droplets of water flying all around to soak everyone standing ontop of the ship.
Instead of being angry (as she knew others would be), Leiko had a large grin spread over her dripping face. Many times she had done that before, and she always enjoyed it every time.

Zhao got a blast of water to his face, almost causing him to lose control of his dragon. He laughed and as the crewmembers were gathering around Leiko to reprimand her for soaking them, he flew his dragon right into the deck, exploding in a wave of heat that dried them all.
"There's no need, go back to your posts men."

Leiko took a few steps backwards at the sight of the men around her, a nervous laugh rising from her lips. As they slowly walked back to their posts, she let a sigh of relief rise up from her. "Thanks," she said, smiling gently in the general's direction.

Zhao looked her over. "I am quite parched, would you like some tea, miss?" he asked. he didn't wait for an answer, but went right to the hatch down to the galley.

With a nod, Leiko gave her answer, though her smile was whipped off her face as she quickly raced after him, attempting her best to keep up. Once they reached the galley, she stopped, glancing around the large room. Sighing to herself, the waterbender followed after the General, dropping her gaze at the same time to watch the ground. Being in a room full of fire benders was uncomfortable, and she had all the reason to be tense because she was instead on a ship full of fire benders. Crazy, right?

After puoring the ginseng into a porcelin cup he handed it to her. "Here you go miss, I hope you enjoy it, I made it myself!" he said with a big toothy grin. He poured himself one and led her to a small table away from all the hustle and bustle. After sipping on it for a few moments he set his cup down. "So. Tell me about yourself." he asked in a kind voice.

A smile traced over her face at the sight of the lucious colored tea. As the cup was handed in her direction, she gladly took it from his older (and bigger) hands, raising it to her lips to draw in a deep breath of the wonderful smell. "It smells amazing, to say the least," she complimented, returning the grin. With a light sip, she turned to, with slight difficulty, follow him through the lines of tables, heading as quickly as possible toward his speedy form. Leiko silently slipped into a seat across from him, stealing another gulp of tasteful liquid, and set the cup down gently. As the words reached her ears, her breathing almost stopped, though she was lucky enough to continue it, even if the action was temporarily delayed for a moment, as was her heart.
Cloth covered hues dropped to face the wooden table before her, fingers curling tightly around the fragile cup currently warming her moist hands. Pale lips remained pinched tightly as her mind processed his inquiry. "I ... " She momentarily paused, searching for a clear way to fully explain her answer, yet not bore him with her life story. "Well ... " With a gentle sigh, Lei shook her head to herself, a small smile tracing over her lips. Her voice was kept low as she slowly began to answer his small question.
"I'm a traveling water bender, to begin simply, though I come from the Northern Water Tribe, born into a strong family. I was mainly trained in healing and such as women were meant to, though my grandfather, a master waterbender, secretly taught me when no one was around. My father found out and was furious, so I left."
A gentle sigh was briefly given, her eyes dropping their 'gaze' once more, before she slowly raised the cup to her lips. Her past was not something she was proud of, especially because she went against her family and tribe's traditions.

Zhao loved to hear about people from other cultures and nations, and he especially loved the water tribes. In fact, when he was a young man he often visited a small southern water tribe colony a few miles from his home, where he first got interested in foriegn cultures. But for now all he wanted to hear about was this northern girl.
He stroked his beard. "Well, where did you go after that?" he asked softly, still retaining his tone of curiousity.

A small smile traced over her lips at his tone of curiousity, though she said nothing minutes after. Drawing in a deep breath, Leiko simply gave a light shake of her head. "Anywhere close enough to get to. I've been traveling for the past three to six months or so, so I really can't remember where I first traveled to. As long as I'm away from "home", I'm fine." Shaking her head once more, she pinched her lips shut after taking in a sip of the tea. Her head raised from its drooping position to turn to the general. "And what about you?" she inquired with a gentle smile.
