Tycho gave a slight laugh. "Very well. My name is Tycho. Now may I ask yours?"

A small smile traced over the waterbender's lips. Dropping her arms to her sides, she sat up, crossing her legs indian style. "Leiko," came her simple answer to his question.

"Well, good to meet you Leiko. Are you ready to behave now?" he brought over a bowl of fruit from the nearby table and placed it in front of her. "I'm willing to let you wander about the ship, but if you attempt to escape you will be taken out. Can you manage that?" he asked. A Yuu Yan archer walking past the window looked inside at Tycho and nodded in his direction.

A simple shrug of her shoulders was given in reply to his question, followed by a mumbled of, "Sure." She sat forward, reaching an arm out to grasp an apple off the side of the bowl set before her. Tossing it once, she caught it swiftly, bringing it to her mouth to munch quietly on the fruit. It had been days since she had last eaten, but it didn't bother her all that much. "Yeah, sure. But I have a question. Why do you even bother to keep me here? It's not like I know any of your plans or anything, so I'm of no use to you. So why?"

"Ah, but you did attack us. Quite savagely I might add. We're holding you to keep you out of our hair for the most part. I won't go into the details. I just follow the chain of command, 'Detain any persons deemed dangerous to your mission.' " he quoted.

"I attacked because you were randomly taking over a village! It's called self-defense, and I'm sure you do it, too! Everyone does!" Shaking her head, Leiko tossed the apple core at the firebender's feet. "Now let me out. I'm sick of sitting here."

"Okay, fine." He said, knocking the apple core aside with his boot. He let her out. "Just remember, behave."

"Mhm, whatever." Hopping to her feet, Leiko wasted no time to get away from her prison cage. A small smile came over her lips as she gladly stretched her arms into the air. "Oi. Can I practice waterbending on the deck?" Instantly she knew the answer, but she thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Tycho raised an eyebrow. "Why do you want to practice waterbending?" he asked. "It's not so that you can attack my crew and escape is it?"

Blinking, Leiko shook her head. "No. I just haven't practiced in a while. You have my word." Even if she was a trickster in battle, she was honest and true to her words every other second of her life.

Tycho's stern face loosened. "Fine. You can practice. I'll lead to the deck, c'mon." He opened the hatch and started down a long winding corridor. An engineer passed them by, saluting Tycho, then proceeding to mend a broken pipe. After coming to the end of the labrythine halls, they emerged on the sun filled deck. General Zhao was playing a game of Pai-sho with a few of the older crewmembers.
"Here you go. Now if you excuse me, I have to go oversee our course." He turned on his heel and went back down below the deck.

A small smile traced over her lips at his words. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad on the ship ... "Thank you," she said quietly, giving a small bow of respect with her words. She silently followed him, glancing around every few moments at her surroundings. Once apon the deck, Leiko grinned sheepishly to herself. The bright sun felt so nice ...
She slowly walked around the captain, turning her head to glance around her. Thanks to the water surrounding the ship, she could slightly see what was around her. "Thanks, again," she said, turning slightly to Tycho before he left. Walking silently to the edge of the ship, she simply stood at the railing, enjoying the fresh ocean air. Minutes into her silence, she would move away and begin her small practice, as she had said.

The old general was stroking his beard, pondering how best to beat the cook in his next few moves when captain Tycho opened to hatch and led this beautiful girl on deck.
"How does a waterbender become so free on a Fire Navy ship?" he asked her.

Upon hearing the question asked to her, she stopped in her tracks, turning to face the older firebender. A small smile was placed over her lips, her shoulders rising in a light shrug. "I honestly have no clue. I guess ... " She paused, turning her head to glance at the closed door she had stepped through earlier. "The commander of this ship is kinder than I thought."
With a shrug of her shoulders, she continued walking to the edge of the boat.

"Well," he said. "They captain certainly has good taste in captives." He said, then went back to his game, leaving her in peace.
