Azalanten kicked an old log, leting out his last bit of anger on seeing his village. He trudged back to Naida, and the tent they were setting up from the supplies stolen. He said, "I found ome food and water. I think we could build a raft using the wreckage here." He had been filled with a since of acceptance during the time he had stayed here, the sun was setting, so he set up the tent.

[]OOC[] Cool icon .. er .. thingie!! ^^`
Trying to keep her hands busy, Naida focused on driving the stakes to their tent into the dry earth. Seeing this place all burned to ashes and rubble made the young Water Bender sad. To think that this was once a cheerful little village and was now just a pile of burnt wood .. Naida's cloudy grey eyes shifted from her task to Azalanten. He kicked some of the black scorched logs in a flare of anger. She couldn't blame him. This was once his home before the selfish Azula had burnt it to a crisp. As he made his way back, Naida quickly averted her attention back to what she was doing, realized that the stake could only go so far into the dirt.
She stood up and flickered her hair out and off her shoulders. She cast a glace behind her at the setting sun. The sky had turned a brilliant shadow of orange and clouds drifted lazily along the horizon. The scene made Naida long for the beautiful auroras of her own home in the Northern Water Tribe. She walked over to where Azalanten was and helped him finish setting the tent. She nodded at his suggestion and smiled warmly despite the lingering sadness she felt.
"When do you think we should set off?" she inquired softly, gazing up at him. The sun had now sunk behind the illuminated clouds and was about to sink even farther under the horizon. 'Almost twilight' Naida thought absentmindedly.

"Well, tommorow. I think we can meet up with the others if they follow the chartsi left in there." He finished setting up the tent, and started a fire quickly. He took a flat stone and began to heat it, and set a peice of meat on it. He also sliced up domr fruit. Here, he said handing her the meat. It seemed like the sun was setting, and it was getting cold quickly. He crawled into the tent, laying down some blankets. He talked to Naida, saying "I think we should get to sleep soon. I know it gets cold here quickly."

After chewing the fruit, letting the sweet taste linger in her mouth for a moment before swallowing, Naida leaned back. She could indeed feel the temperature dropping but for her it wasn't much considering where she grew up. The fire crackled cheerily in the gloomy wreckage. With a nod of agreement, Naida chewed the last bit of her fruit and followed Azalanten into the tent, waiting for him to finish setting the blankets. After a moment, she crawled over to the eastern side of the tent, and drew the blanket around her. It wasn't very warm right now so Naida curled up, drawing her knees to her chest, watching Azlanaten with her silver and light blue eyes.
"Azalanten," Naida started softly. "What are you thinking when you look at this place?" she asked curiously but cautiously. Her slender fingers kneaded the edge of her blanket, her eyes never leaving his face.

After a few seconds of thought, Azalanten responded, watching Naidas face. "A flower, it was budding when I was born, was in full bloom when I had come of age, but a weed came to it. This weed was Azula." After realizing what he had said, He asked Naida, "What is your home like?", In a soft tender voice.

Naida nodded, shifting her light eyes away from his face. After a moment she sighed quietly. She wished that she could have seen this village the way it had been before .. well, before Azula had gotten to it. They say that the heart is where the home is, but what happens when your home is destroyed? Naida clutched her blanket a little closer before responding to Azalanten's question.
"Around this time of year, I'd imagine that everything is starting to get a little colder each day" Naida responded smoothly. "At the very outer edge of the city where my family lives, you can slip outside the barrier walls. There are small patches of grass and flowers outside ... " she continued, becoming lost in her own memories. She thought of how busy the center of the city was and how very different it was to where she had grown up. "As a little girl I would sneak away from my daily chores to sit in my favorite place and pick the pale pink flowers. I'd watch some of the most beautiful auroras ..." Naida smiled in remembrance. It had been so long since she had been to her secret spot. Again she sighed softly, looking up at Azalanten's face, longing for the day when she could take him up to that place ..

Azalanten was happy to here what she said. he kept his eyes on hers and started to recall his own memories. "That sounds beautiful. My house had a ladder, so that I could climb the ladder with my sister and watch the sunset. It was always so beautiful. I always practiced bending in secret. I think my father was catching on before the attack. Azalanten wanted to see Naida.s spot on the wall, but he also wished she could have seen the sunset. He asked her, "What do you think Sa Ra and the others are doing?"

[]OOC[] So short .. X__x
Naida wondered if Azalanten wasn't allowed to learn how to Bend. If he did it in secret .. but maybe he just wanted to surprise his father .. With sudden realization, Naida thought, 'I've never heard Azalanten talk of his parents before'. Putting those thoughts to the side for a moment, she let her mind wander, wondering where indeed Sa Ra and the others turned up. She grinned playfully and her eyes sparkled.
"Maybe they gathered themselves an entire crew and, at this very moment, they're sailing back here on a rescue mission to come and get us" she said with a light laugh. "At least I hope so" Naida added, her voice just above a whisper. Oh how she hoped nothing terrible had happened to them. Who knows where they might have turned up ..

"I hope so to." He said. With another thought, Azalanten thought about the southern tribe. He had never heard it mentioned. Maybe it was not as big as the northern tribe. HE had heard rumors of the avatar whos companions were from the southern tribe. With an odd though, he hoped it would not be to personal, Do you know anyone from the southern water tribe? I havent heard of it much lately, except that the avatars companions lived there.

Naida sighed softly, hoping that Azalanten didn't catch the apparent note of sadness in her voice.
"I don't know anyone from our sister tribe .. and true, the Avatar's companions were from there, although I can't quite remember their names. From what I've heard, the Southern Water Tribe hasn't been doing .. that great lately" Naida said.
"My grandmother however, has an old friend from there. From what I've been told, the Fire Nation destroyed most of what was there and is now pretty much defenseless. My tribe has sent Water Benders and healers to help rebuild but everyone knows that it'll never be the same glorious city it once was ... " Naida trailed off. The Southern Water Tribe used to be as beautiful as her own city but when the Fire Nation came ... Luckily, the Northern Water Tribe's defense system was just that much more stronger and complex. Naida continued.
"It is rather sad .. Even though I love my tribe and I will never betray those who live there, our government isn't that good. When someone turns 16, they are to married and usually the bride has no say in the matter whatsoever" Naida said with a sad smile. "It's a good thing my grandmother doesn't believe in this system either .. otherwise, she wouldn't have allowed me to be away when I become of age" Naida said.

Azalanten vision blurred fora moment. He hadnt slept very well the night before, and he wanted to keep talking with Naida though. he decided that he couldnt keep his eyelids open musch longer. "SOrry Naida. I would talk much more. But i feel so tired." He dozed off.
During his dreams, Azalanten saw the mencaing figure of wattyanic, in something that looks like an ice village. With a surge of surprise he realized he was in the northern water tribe. And he was pouring something into a.. Spring. He saw that it was a blood red, deadly liquid. Before he could think on this, he drifted to another dream.

Naida nodded and grinned as she watched Azalanten fall right to sleep. With a light sigh, her own eyes fluttered shut. Everything seemed okay for the moment. They'd be able to deal with whatever came next .. Naida must have been more tired than she thought. Without another thought, she too fell right to sleep, curled up under the warmth of her blankets.
Her dreams flew in and out, not making sense and never staying for long. This was how it should be .. no nightmares .. just dreams that made no sense and couldn't be remembered in the morning. Naida shifted around as her subconscious took complete control over her mind ..

As azalanten woke that morning, he decided to go check on the raft nearbye on the water. When he got their, and found htat the peices of lumber tied together with a few peices of seaweed was alright he skipped a few stones. He seemed to never get the skipping right. It is just like my fire. When i get caught up in it I cant control it. He skipped another in frustration. But he saw a familiar sight on the horizon. A few islands. And there was something that looked like a... Ship! It was fire nation! Wait, it wasnt, it was the Dragon/i] Immediatley, he entered a meditative state he used to concentrate. He put his bending down to the lowest possible heat, barely visible, and bent the fire towards the islands near the boat. As it neared the island he began to shape it into words. Sa Ra, Shadow, SHin, Naid, Lanten, This way. He drew an arrow pointing there way. He knew he would have turned the sand on the beach into glass, and with any hope they would see them. He ran back to the tent to tell Naida.

Sa Ra was meditating, her airbending making her hover a bit above the floor. She opened one eye, and looked around the room. She could have sworn someone called her. She stood up, her meditation state gone. Sa Ra walked up to the deck, and saw the fire. "Azalanten and Naida!" She said. She bent the wind so that they were heading that way, and slowed the boat till it brushed against the sandy shore. Her hair was slowly turning a light green. She made it so that the wind was keeping the boat from leaving the shore, then jumped down onto the shore. She slipped a little, it seemed that part of the beach was glass. Not quite sure what called her here, she stood and waited.

Naida woke up groggily. Still in a dream-like state she got up, pushing the warm blankets aside. With a yawn and rubbing her eyes, she slipped out of the tent. She blinked in the blazing light and shut her eyes. When she re-opened them, Naida could see a fuzzy figure running toward her. Unable to focus clearly, she blinked many times before she recognized the familiar silhouette of Azalanten. Naida tilted her silver head to the side, wondering what was so urgent. Her gaze floated past him to a Fire Bender ship ... panic resided inside her for a brief moment, making her chest tight. Then she recognized the elaborate wood and carvings ...
"The Dragon!! she exclaimed and took a few steps forward still a little sleepy. A few crystal tears surfaced to the corners of her pale pink eyes as she noticed yet another familiar figure with light green hair sliding along the glassy shore. And she ran. Her shimmering hair reflecting the bright morning sun looked surreal.
"Sa Ra!!" she called out, approaching her dear friend, being careful of the sea of glass. Naida embraced her Air Bending companion.
"Oh, how I've missed you so" Naida said, smiling warmly, her eyes glittering with happiness.
