He looked up to see the thin stretch of land. "That, most likely, is our destination. We'll know in a few minutes for sure. The island only has a few buildings on it but if Jiro is there, we'll find him before too long." His eyes looked in the direction of the sun showing that they still had plenty of time in the day. "We'll be there in an hour or two most likely. As long as that's Jiro's island, we'll be in search of a new ship by nightfall. Not much after that we'll hit the mainland and the earth kingdom." A slight breeze blew against the ship. In the distance, over the island a bit of clouds could be seen. "Hopefully we get to the docks before rain starts coming down in there."

Sa Ra nodded. She stared off at the distance, worried what was awaiting them on that thin strip. From what Orodreth had told her, it couldn't be good. She glanced at his face, trying to see in that brief few seconds what he was feeling. As usual, his face was blank and emotionless. She thought she glimpsed something in his eyes, but it was most likely the sun reflecting off his pupils. His remark of rain didn't bother her. She actually thought the rain was a way of washing away what you wanted to while holding tighter to the things you wanted to keep. Sa Ra knew this was silly, but she liked to find signs in what she could that things would be alright. Her hair blew around in the slight breeze, making her feel like it was trying to eat her. She jumped off the railing to retrieve her hair tie from Mako, but he tried to chew on her hand. She quickly flipped him over and started tickling his belly. Mako squirmed until he could get up and ran a few feet away. She picked up the tattered tie and twisted her hair up and secured it. Mako kept watching her, waiting for the best time to pounce and reclaim her tie.

The rain began coming down only minutes before the ship finally touched land which meant that by the time it was secured at the dock, Orodreth was soaked. He was breathing hard as he tightened one of the ropes, but when he stepped on land and felt the earth under his feet again, he suddenly felt reenergized. Once they found Jiro, it'd be a short ride before they reached the earth kingdom. From there on, they would have days and days with his feet touching the ground. He smiled as he stood at the base of the ramp at the bottow of the ship oblivious to the rain pouring down around him. He looked up to Sa Ra with a smile still on his face. "We might as well get this over with. If Jiro is here, I know where we'll find him."

Sa Ra watched from an out of the way spot as Orodreth prepared the ship to land. The rain didn't bother her, and she let it fall on her. Rain dripped from her hair and her clothes were a darker color then usual, but she loved it. Mako had bounced around snagging at anything that moved, but she had soon grabbed him. When they were docked, she stood at the top of the ramp and looked over the island. Right now she felt that she was in a bubble where nothing could hurt her, and that to step off the ship would be the end of a good thing. Standing in the rain, she had Mako pinned in her arms, even though he wanted to explore. "Mako," She said to him, "We don't know this island. What if you are captured or hurt?" He grumbled a little but stopped squirming. A glance down the ramp at Orodreth surprised her. He was drenched, water dripping from his hair also and his clothes sticking to him. But that wasn't what surprised her, how wet he was. The whole time Sa Ra had known Orodreth, he rarely smiled. Yet, even though he was facing away from her, she could see a smile on his face. When he turned and spoke to her, the feeling of protection on the ship went away and she carefully made her way down the slick ramp. She stood next to Orodreth, then looked out to the forest. No animals were calling, which made her uneasy. But at least Orodreth was here. That thought, again, made her relax. Sa Ra turned her face to the sky, to watch the rain as it fell. She loved the rain. It cleansed the world. "So," she said slowly and finally, "where do we start?"

He took her hand in his own before turning toward her. "We'll have to find out where Jiro is. I know of one establishment that he frequents, and if he isn't there, someone will at least know where he's gone."
He stopped for a moment remembering how he had first 'met' Jiro after having spent a week hiding aboard his ship until the ship set port. He had followed and then approached the pirate king with a tale of a young man eager to find his way on the ocean. It was only a few hours later that the ship was sailing with new cargo and a few new crewmembers including himself. Jiro had been kind contrary to the kind of reputation that went along with being a pirate, but that time aboard the ship had shown him both sides of Jiro. The kind man and the fearless pirate.
He shook himself from the memory and walked away from the ship and toward one of the largest buildings in the islands. "He's never too hard to find as long as people know who you are or aren't. I personally believe boasting is one of his favorite pasttimes but that's just my opinion." The sounds of yelling and even the sounds of singing could be heard through the door of the building. A wooden sign that seems to have been decaying since the day it was put up, once displayed the name of this establishment, but it has long since hidden such information thanks to the ravages of time. "It's best that we stick together in here. Mako included. This place has a tendency to get crazy fast and without warning. We'll get in and find Jiro first. If he's not there, we'll find out where he's gone. Either way, we'll be out in a few minutes."
He waited for a few seconds before turning the handle slowly and pushing himself in.

Sa Ra listened carefully to Orodreth. Her hand in his felt reassuring, since Sa Ra knew this would probably take her out of her comfort zone. Orodreth seemed lost in thought, and Sa Ra didn’t say anything until he shook himself out of it. Then she called Mako and had him perch on her shoulder, so he couldn’t wander. She followed Orodreth up the beach, towards a looming building, that seemed ghostly in the rain. She let Orodreth lead her towards it, never taking her eyes off of it. It surprised her a little how well Orodreth knew Jiro, but it really shouldn’t. He had worked for the man, after all. As they drew closer, Sa Ra could hear yelling and maybe singing coming from the big building. The largest building she had ever been in was the Air Temple, but that was the home of her people. This was a totally unfamiliar island with strange people. She became self-conscious of the arrow tattoos on her body, even though they weren’t visible. Orodreth passed the sign, and Sa Ra didn’t need to read to tell nothing was on it. Sa Ra nodded, unable to speak. She checked once again that Mako was staying put, and hoped he realized to stay there. She squeezed Orodreths hand to remind herself that he was there, just in case, and then followed him in the building.

Walking inside the building brought a couple memories to mind though most were only stories that some of Jiro's crew had relayed to him about this place. It was said that in these islands, Jiro had himself a home of sorts. This was one place that people could count on him to come back to. However, he was nowhere to be seen after a quick investigation of the room. He moved with Sa Ra to the front desk looking to talk to the owner.
After a few second, he finally managed to get the attention of the owner. "What can i get for you sir?" The elderly man said. He already seemed ready to turn toward the next customer.
"Where's Jiro," Orodreth said flatly. "I'm looking to bring him back his ship."
"Ah he did mention something about that before that fire nation soldier came for him. Said he'd find you eventually. Until then you were supposed to take care of the ship." The owner said.
Orodreth stared in disbelief for a few moments before thanking the owner. He was about to comment on how calm the building had been, when a shout rang out near the door and a pair of pirates began to exchange blows. Within seconds, the entire building was filled with shouts and grunts as bottles, glasses, and even chairs were used in the brawl. The chatter died completely and Orodreth pushed his way quickly to the door. He looked over to Sa Ra, her hand still in his own, to make sure that Mako still was with her before heading quicker toward the front door. He was forced to stop and move himself a few times to escape getting into the center of the action but after a few moments, he was nearly at the door.

Sa Ra followed Orodreth closely, not letting go of his hand. She was jostled as Orodreth moved to the front desk, and Mako was nearly knocked off at one point. She listened quietly as Orodreth explained why he was here, and the old man's response. Sa Ra didn't quite understand what the man was saying, unable to hear properly over the noise of the other people. She was able to tell it wasn't good, from Orodreths little expression changes. She had to search his face to find them, but could tell he didn't get the answer he wanted. When there was a shout, she turned to see two men fighting. It spread like fire in the building, and soon everyone had a problem with whomever was next to them. Items went flying, and was able to move only when Orodreth started his way to the door. Mako fluffed his fur, to make himself seem bigger. He clung onto her hair, and watched as Orodreth thread through the crowd. They were nearly at the door, but blocking the way was the two pirates who started this whole mess. Both were hurt heavily, but they still kept fighting. The only thing to show what started the brawl was a shattered bunch of coins. From what Sa Ra guessed, they were trying to trade something. 'I haven't missed much,' Sa Ra muttered to Mako, 'If this is what humans can do.' Mako squeaked something in reply, and dug his claws into her shoulder.
