Towns, villages, and places « Thread Started on Dec 10, 2006, 5:30pm »
Okay.....I want anyone with an idea for a place, village town or anything to add to the boards, to post it here and if we like it enough it will become a board.
Heres a few ideas: We need more places in the Fire Nation, and a few water tribe villages, towns along the coasts of the earth kigndom and firenation....

you could put a fire nation base in each of the other nations or just small bases for the nations such as a water tribe base on the coast of the earth nation or an air nomad base on a mountain out side of the fire nation

Do you mean...tourture encampments?
You need the Western Air Temple as well. :| All of them are only accessed by Bisons. (N and S are male temples. W and E are female temples.)
Now when you say Dai Lang...do you mean the Dai Li?
In the Earth Kingdom, you could change "Little Village" into Villages and make it possess several sub-boards containing various villages from the series. Chintown, Gaoling, and Aunt Wu's village. In the Open Space area, maybe put sub-boars for the Great Divide, the Serpents Pass, the Wong Si Desert.
As I had said in the chatbox you may need to alter some things in the plot line...No offense, it's ingenius in it's creativity, but it doesn't exactly...work. The Earth Kingdom is nothing more then a series of provinces and major cities....Ba Sing Se is the capital simply because it is the home of the Earth King, perhaps a derived descendant from the first Earthbenders, (Which is false, since the original earthbenders legacy founded Omashu. Perhaps it was a man who took the Earthbenders from a freelancing Archaic age and brought them as a whole, a nation perhaps, a negotiater that unified a divided world) but perhaps not. What the E.K. is a Confederate Monarchy, meaning it has more then one officianary but one definitive ruler. But because it is such a loosely based political system, a rebellion beyond a single city would be...more harmful then helpful really even if intentions were pure (and apparently the Dai ?Lang? don't have pure ones.)
(Read from Bottom to Top) Zhouda: be a twist now would it! ^_^ 16 Jan 07, 09:22 Zhouda: likely... And, actually, following the cycle correctly...I believe the Avatar would be infact an Earth Bender. But that I'm not sure about. If it is a waterbender, who's child is it? Katara's? That'd 16 Jan 07, 09:20 Zhouda: another like Ba Sing Se or Omashu. No one would rebel against Bumi. He led them through the war for over seventy years...Ba Sing Se, yes, a coup'e'ta could be preformed but all over the continent? Not 16 Jan 07, 09:19 Zhouda: (You're so hating me now. XD) But, the Earth Kingdom really doesn't have a central goverment to rebel against...It's made up of towns and villages that usually hold allegiance to one metropolis or 16 Jan 07, 09:18 Zhouda: ...And he lost his son to the first war, I doubt he'd start a second...Maybe Iroh should...be assassinated(>_< <3 you Iroh) or something in the plot? o_o 16 Jan 07, 09:17 Zhouda: Hey, I know I'm new here but...It's just troubling. Iroh would strive for peace despite everything. Zhao convinced him of fighting only because he thought Zuko was dead and he had...no more purpose.
So, no offense, not saying you have to, but maybe consider revising...

.....ok, the Dai Lang (which means evil or viscious wolf) is a group created completly by me to balance out the Order of the white lotus. you can read more about them in the characters section. Just to reduce confusion I took artisctic rights with the White Lotus just because no one really knows what they are all about. The thing with the earth kingdom is not that some want to rebel against the "central" government, but they are unhappy with what they have and want to improve their lot in life by turning against the authority they are under, either thier provimcial king or ruler or simply turning to piracy or deserting the army.
I nkow that they are lot of things that need description changes on the site and they will be gotten to all in due time. Don't forget that we are always exp[anding our site with new places and such. I know that we need to add the western air temple. thats because when the site was first built it was only me here. And we all know that w.and e. are all female and N. and S. are all male, and we know that some things need fixed also, so please don't insult our intelligence.

How about make a hometown for all of us? Like Kalira is from Jusin. Everybody chooses how big the place is, who lives there, yadda yadda. Then we could get more areas to go to, and have a set group of questions for everybody making a hometown and post it in the nation they are from.
Example:
What is the name of the Town?
How large is it?
About how many people?
Name the major buildings. (Inns, bars, palaces, et cetra)
How well known is your character? (A big town, not so much. A small town, known by almost everybody.)
Main export? (What keeps the town alive?)
Anything else you can think of. you get the general idea
Kalira-Discovering she is the Earth Avatar. Unsure of herself. Jakita-Kyoshi warrior; follows Kalira around. Makes life miserable for Kalira, on purpose or not. Sa Ra-Airbender who was raised by animals. Cant speak much English. Mako-Squirrel/racoon who helped raise Sa Ra. A food hoarder.
Feel free to PM me with any questions or comments!

Name of Town: Caer Unferth
How large is it?: Takes up the entire slope of a mountain, as well as some of the inside.
About how many people?: Roughly 13,000
Major Buildings:
Fortress: A fort built into the mountain. Contains Large stockpiles of food and supplies, enough to last its garrison a year in the event of a siege. This is also the seat of the Jarl, or king. The only entrance is a pair of massive steel gates near the summit.
Great Hall: A massive dining hall outside the fortress proper, capable of seating several hundred. This place is used to host most major public events.
Temple: Inside the fortress, there is a temple to the Tyr, the war-spirit that the tribe considers its patron god. Is inside the peak of the mountain.
Taverns: There are at least a dozen ale-houses scattered throughout the city. The most popular is the Giant's Lament, a dive about halfway up the mountain on the east side.
How well known is your town? Caer Unferth was cut off from the outside throughout the war, but since the war ended, the inhabitants have begun to travel, and the city is becoming more notable.
Main export?: Caer Unferth is gaining a reputation for its smiths. Because of the unusal strength of the local inhabitants, the local tools and weapons are designed to be very sturdy.
